| SPAIN / Club Car and Fincagest will represent to Spain in the 2010 World Finals |
The spanish World Corporate Golf Challenge event was played in 2009 by more than 2.000 players. After the 25 previous golf days played along the whole spanish territory, just 17 teams got a place to play the National Final, celebrated from december 3rd to 6th in the magnificent La Manga Club and Hotel Principe Felipe Resort, both located in Murcia (Spain).
The winner team, Club Car (from Madrid), got 143 points after the two competition days (mode: Canada Cup Stableford - 36 holes) in a fascinating final. The runner-up team, Fincagest (from Castilla-Leon) got 137 points and El Mundo (the representative team from Andalusia), 135.
The results allowed all the members from Club Car and Fincagest (Julian Aguilar Alcazar, Ricardo Muelas Guillen, Antonio Pastrana Gonzalez and Domingo Redondo Merinero) to represent Spain in the next WCGC World Finals, that will take place in Fancourt and Oubaai Golf Clubs (George, Eden District, South Africa) next May, from 4th to 9th.
The day before the World Finals, another interesting match will take place in South Africa. This match will confront Spain and Portugal in the Iberian Final, to decide which is the best team in the peninsula. |
